Early Hewat books in the British Library.

These works may be consulted in the new British library main reading room. To obtain a free reader's pass, you need two photo's, identification, and something to show that you have a valid reason for using the library. Alexander's "Historical Account" is particularly interesting, written in clear, concise modern English (apart from the s's printed as f's). It is also available on micro-film MIC6896/reel1814 item #5, and was reprinted in 1962 by The Reprint Co., PO Box 5406, 601 Hillcrest Offices, Spartanburg, SC 29304. Tel. 803-582-0732. (They don't answer their telephone, and even Blackwells failed to obtain a copy from them). There are also copies in several US libraries.
